About Dr. Kudzai Dombo

Dr. Kudzai Dombo, MD, is a board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist with over 20 years of experience dedicated to women's health across all life stages. Known for her compassionate approach and global perspective, she combines evidence-based medicine with a deep understanding of cultural nuances in reproductive health, childbirth, menopause, and beyond.

Born in the United States and raised partly in Harare, Zimbabwe (after her family moved there when she was eight), Dr. Dombo draws inspiration from her father's internal medicine practice in Zimbabwe, where she witnessed the profound impact physicians can have—especially in supporting women's voices in underserved communities.

  • Bachelor of Science in Biology – University of Michigan,  Ann Arbor

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) – Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, New Jersey (Graduated 2001)

  • Residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology – Albert Einstein Medical Center, Pennsylvania

Dr. Dombo is board-certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG) and holds additional designations including FACOG (Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists) and MSCP (Menopause Society Certified Practitioner). 

Clinical Experience & Global Impact

With more than two decades in practice, Dr. Dombo has served patients in the United States (including affiliations with Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center-Burbank, Kaiser Permanente Panorama City Medical Center, and other facilities in California and Arizona) and internationally.

Her vision for borderless women's healthcare led her to work with organizations such as Doctors Without Borders (Médecins Sans Frontières) and various NGOs in countries including El Salvador, Sri Lanka, Cambodia, South Africa, and Haiti. These experiences deepened her expertise in addressing diverse challenges related to menstrual health, pregnancy, menopause, and life transitions across cultural and healthcare contexts.

Dr. Dombo is particularly passionate about menopause care, hormonal health, PCOS, menstrual irregularities, and empowering women—especially Black women and those in midlife—to navigate perimenopause and menopause with informed, personalized support.

She speaks English and French and is committed to patient-centered care, including telehealth options where available.
